Tive o privilégio de comprar (e ainda possuo) o primeiro MGF matriculado em Portugal, por isso conheço estes carros como a palma da minha mão. O seu design, com mais de 20 anos, continua atual, e a combinação de leveza, motor central bem dimensionado e uma experiência de condução ainda pouco digital é fantástica./p pClaro que há o medo da junta da cabeça. O problema é real, mas não é o bicho-de-sete-cabeças que a internet faz querer. Com a manutenção correta, resolve-se e o que se recebe em troca é uma experiência de condução pura. A forma como este carro curva, com o motor central, faz-nos sentir ao volante de um baby supercar./p pConfesso que comprei este TF com o objetivo de o revender, mas revelou-se um exemplar particularmente bom e equilibrado. Acabou por ficar connosco muito mais tempo que o planeado e tornou-se o nosso modern classic de eleição para passeios mais longos, sendo surpreendentemente confortável. With a mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout, it offers a level of balance and handling agility that is rare in this price range. Unlike its predecessor, the TF swapped the Hydragas suspension for a conventional coil spring setup, resulting in sharper handling and simpler maintenance. Its an accessible entry point into the world of mid-engine sports cars./p pstrongOur Story with This Car/strong My passion for MGFs and TFs is long-standing. For me, they are the MGBs of our generation, but without the electrical gremlins! I had the privilege of buying (and still own) the first MGF registered in Portugal, so I know these cars like the back of my hand. Their design, now over 20 years old, is still modern, and the combination of light weight, a well-sized mid-engine, and a still-analogue driving experience is fantastic./p pOf course, theres the fear of the head gasket. The problem is real, but its not the horror story the internet makes it out to be. With correct maintenance, its a solvable issue, and what you get in return is a pure driving experience. The way this car corners, with its mid-engine, makes you feel like youre driving a baby supercar./p pI confess I bought this TF with the intention of reselling it. However, it turned out to be a particularly good and balanced example. It ended up staying with us much longer than planned and became our modern classic of choice for longer trips, being surprisingly comfortable.
